Oil Painting Upper Round Pond Road How it Happens

Find a spot you love

Living Room Shot

Living room shot, think we will definitely hide those legs.

Combine the spot you love, with your living room shots.  Find some bears on Google Images and lastly,
oil paint the entire piece.

The Patience of Little Man

It all begins in the living room on a flimsy table, with a white sheet tacked to the wall.
Where will this shot take Rian, will he fly over a lost city, a countryside, or be chased by dragons? How many shots will we take?  Now we challenge Rian’s patience.  Rian look scared, look surprised, look happy, lean to the left, pull back...and so on.  Let us not forget the input of everyone else in the room also, he should look up, his eyes were closed, he blinked.  Throughout all 728 shots, 6 hours and of course, lunch Rian never wavered in his patience, humor or enthusiasm to continue.  Lets remember this is just to please his aunt and enable her photoshop hobby.

The shots then travel from Maine to Massachusetts, where I look thru them, of course, discarding "his eyes were closed".  Now the fun begins, where will Rian travel to this time?  Rian always has a small glimmer of mischief in his eye, because that's who he is to me.  An impish, fun loving little boy, who is always ready for action!  This time, Rian finds finds himself flying thru the streets of Turkey stirring up mischief.

Officially pooped out.  I am so grateful and thankful he is my nephew and my
friend.  Rian has an enormous heart and the true patience of a saint.  We have a lot of fun,
I will always cherish these memories.

The Small Room

Rian affectionately known as "Little Man" is growing up on the coast of Maine.   He lives with his Grandmother, Ruby on the Old Appleton Farm.  The farm is perched on a knoll, over looking gentle rolling fields.  There is always a breeze stirring in the east,  for Rian its a warning something is brewing and about to begin.

For Rian, life is overflowing with adventure, curiosity and mischief.  There is a small room off the end of the shed, that Rian over time, has slowly made his.  Through the broken windowpanes, he smells the fresh fields, and watches how they change.  It is there that he keeps all that he treasures, and goes each evening, to let his imagination whisk him away on a new adventure.
